MICHIGAN - MT. ARVON

Mount Curwood in Baraga County was recognized as thehighest point in Michigan. In 1982, however, the U.S. Department of Interior's Geological Survey team gathered new measurements and found Mount Curwood to be slightly lower in elevation than nearby Mount Arvon. Mount Curwood measured 1,978.24 feet above sea level and Mount Arvon registered at 1,979.238 feet above sea level.
